Northern Irish Wool Locks In Salmon
Northern Irish Wool Locks In Salmon
Introducing our very special Northern Irish Wool Locks. Grown on a local farm in County Down, Northern Ireland (just 2 hours away from our studio!) this beautiful fibre is totally hand processed from the rare sheep breed, Wensleydale.
This speciality wool has been produced at a very limited and small scale by Freda on her farm, where she has a flock of Wensleydale sheep. From the rearing of the sheep and the shearing of their wool, to the washing and dying of their wool, each process is totally done by hand by Freda on her farm.
These wool locks have a beautiful shine with a soft feel in rich, vibrant colours. Perfect for adding a very special Northern Irish touch to any craft project such as carding, spinning, needle felting or embellishment. Each pouch contains 20g of wool which includes staple lengths of approximately 15cm to 30cm. Please note, due to hand processing, some vegetable matter may be found.
🌎 Fully traceable, locally sourced, sustainable, ethically made, renewable and biodegradable Irish wool. Find out more about our journey to creating and supporting a positive social and environmental change in our local community here.
