Irish Alpaca Big Sweetie Yarn - Downhill
We are proud to present our most Irish and bespoke creations yet – a limited-edition collection of Irish Alpaca Yarn. The colour Downhill, inspired by the landscape surrounding our studio on the North Coast, is a chunky two-colour twist of raspberry pink and citrus green.
How it’s made: After two years in development, this yarn has been spun just minutes from our studio in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, at a small family-run mill in very limited quantities. Handmade using alpaca sourced from Wicklow, it is designed by Hope in our signature chunky style with a unique marled twist.
What it’s made from: 30% Irish Superfine Alpaca and 70% Corriedale wool - natural, renewable, and biodegradable. The Corriedale wool is RWS certified, from non-mulesed flocks, and dyed with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified dyes, free from harmful chemicals. The alpaca is sourced from a small, family-run farm in Wicklow, Ireland, ensuring traceable, ethical, and sustainable production.
How it feels: Chunky, exceptionally soft and luxuriously cosy.
Weight and Length: 100g hank, approximately 16m in length.
Needle Size: We recommend 12mm (US17) - 15mm (US19) needle size.
Care: Hand wash only. Do not iron or tumble dry.
